Pints of Ruby Fluid Flux, Regular or Stainless Steel: This is a good all-purpose flux that cleans the metal immediately prior to soldering, thereby enabling the solder to adhere to the metal. You *must* clean and flux your metal when soldering.

Superior Ruby Fluid is a versatile general purpose soldering flux for copper, brass, tin, and ferrous metals that is used in numerous applications, including stained glass, plumbing, roofing, electrical and many others. This inorganic acid flux causes solder to flow in a thin film, thus saving solder. Ruby Fluid flux adheres quickly when applied and stays put where applied.

Stainless Steel Ruby Fluid is specifically formulated for soldering stainless steel. This flux contains Zinc Chloride and Hydrochloric Acid and is active at room temperature. Ruby Fluid Stainless Steel Flux exerts the strong oxide-removing activity necessary to successfully solder stainless steel. We have this product only in cases of 24 pints (select below) or in 4 gallon lots (with free shipping).
